Problem
It takes seconds for a clock to strike o'clock beginning at o'clock precisely. If the strikings are uniformly spaced, how long, in seconds, does it take to strike o'clock?
Solution
Between six strikes, there are five intervals of space. Since it takes five seconds total, each interval is one second long. Therefore, strikes will take seconds. .
