Solution

Since $\triangle BED$ is similar to $\triangle ABC$ , it is a 3-4-5 triangle, and thus $BD=4\cdot \dfrac{4}{3}=\dfrac{16}{3}\Rightarrow \boxed{\mathrm{(B)}}$ .
