Talk:1994 AIME Problems/Problem 7

I believe the question is misworded. It should ask for the number of lines that $ax+by=1$ form, instead of the number of ordered pairs. For example, for each of the $72$ ordered pairs $(a,b)$ found the ordered pair $(ca,cb)$ also satisfy the given condition for any constant $c$ .
