LSU Math Circle Summer Program
Summer Program
The LSU Math Circle Summer Program is a 4-week math summer camp at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA designed to introduce high school students to the complex world of college mathematics. Over the course of the program, students develop problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and logical reasoning through projects, games, and puzzles based on advanced mathematical topics. In addition to working on problems, participants also attend lectures by LSU professors and enjoy recreational trips to local science and research centers.
In the fourth week of the program, all students complete a research project and poster, and present them at our poster presentation. Many students continue to work on their research project as an extracurricular activity or as a science fair project during the school year.

Dates
The 2017 program will be held from June 5th to June 30th, 2017.
Tuition
Tuition for the LSU Math Circle is $1100 for commuting students and $3500 for boarding students. There is an early bird discount for those registering before February 28th, 2017; more information can be found on our website.
Competition Team
After the summer program, many local high school students choose to stay on and join the Math Circle Competition Team (MCCT), which meets weekly on LSU's campus to practice for national-level high school math competitions. The team holds practices every Sunday from 1:00PM-2:30PM, and Math Circle helps to subsidize competition expenses like travel and housing. MCCT competes annually in the Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament (HMMT), the Berkeley Math Tournament (BMT), and the Americal Regions Mathematics League Competition (ARML).
