Writing scholarships
The following list of writing scholarships is primarily for American writing students. This list can be reorganized to incorporate scholarship programs in other countries. Just make that reorganization as clear and as clean as possible.
Additions to this list are welcomed and encouraged. Please don't be stingy about letting students in on how they can finance their educations!
General Writing Scholarships
- AES Engineers Scholarships of 500 dollars for high school seniors and college students. Students do not have to be taking engineering courses. Winners are selected based on their essays.
- ALBA Essay Contest
- Arts Recognition and Talent Search Awards for high school and college students (17, 18 years of age) who excel in the in the literary, visual and performing arts, including dance, cinematic arts, jazz, music, photography, theater, visual arts, voice, and writing.
- B. Davis Scholarship. 1,000 dollars for winning essay.
- CardRates.com Financial Futures Scholarship for students who intend to pursue a career in the finance industry.
- BadCredit.org Wealth Wise Scholarship for students who intend to pursue a career in the finance industry.
- Courtroom Crew Trial Attorney Student Scholarship - USD 1000 for awarded to a law school student who is currently enrolled in a Law School.
- Creative Communication Poetry and Essay Contests
- Dirk Derrick Car & Truck Accident Injury Scholarship, a 1000 dollars scholarship for those affected by auto accidents
- Eagle Touch Technologies - Youth Forward Scholarship Program USD 3000 scholarship to any college students who are interested in science and technology, and who have enthusiasm and specific ideas especially in the area of Touch Display Technology.
- The Electric Mobile Device Management IT Innovation Scholarship A USD 1,000 Scholarship for current or soon-to-be undergrad who has a passion for innovating in the mobile IT (software or hardware) space. Deadline is Nov 1st each year.
- homecleaning.nyc Future Leaders Scholarship USD 2000 scholarship designed to help young entrepreneurs afford the rising cost of education and help them along the road to entrepreneurship. Current college student or incoming freshman enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college, university or trade school. No major or trade requirements. 500-1,000 word essay on the topic "If you could start any business without any capital constraints, what would the business be and why?"

- The Maison Law Central Valley Community Scholarship Program aims to reward a graduating high school senior student - $2,000 in annual scholarships. Submit an essay of approximately 500 words telling us “How you would make the streets of the Central Valley (or your city) safer”
