Problem

State the general rule illustrated here and prove it:

Solution

$1^2+2^2+3^2+\cdots+n^2=1\cdot{n}+3\cdot{(n-1)}+5\cdot{(n-2)}+\cdots+(2n-1)\cdot{1}$
