Sam Vandervelde

Sam Vandervelde is one of the founders of the Mandelbrot Competition and ran the competition until its completion in 2019. He is also an instructor for the Worldwide Online Olympiad Training (WOOT) program. He was an IMO silver medalist, a 2-time winner of the USAMO, a perfect scorer on the AIME, and a top-10 participant at National MATHCOUNTS. He is now the head and a teacher of Proof School, a school with the aim of supporting kids who love math. (He is accused of bribery at the school, more details awaiting.)
