The B division began in 1978.
In 1992, an alternate team won division B, though they were not allowed to be named champions. That alternate team included five members of the would-be Alabama ARML team, including Mathew Crawford.
In 1998, Taiwan ARML (Taiwan Yale) would have tied for second place in division B, but international "Guest" teams were not elligible for awards.
In 2006, three Taiwan ARML teams (Taiwan D, Taiwan C, and Taiwan B) would have placed between the first and second place division B teams, but international "Guest" teams were not elligible for awards.
