The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is a private university well-known for it's excellence in math and science education. It is located in Cambridge, MA, near Harvard. The two schools, both highly prestigious, collaborate to host the annual Harvard-MIT Math Tournament which alternates where it's held between the two schools every year. Also, students at either school are able to cross-register and take classes at the other.
