I would never use the phrase "divisor function" to refer to the very general -- I strongly suggest that the article be rewritten to emphasize the function first, and then to later comment on as a generalization. Perhaps the main article for could be a separate page, e.g., "sum of divisors function" (except that such a page should properly belong just to ). --JBL 16:58, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
