Camp Description

MehtA+ AI in Visual Arts Camp will be taught by MIT and Stanford alumni who have worked on award-winning research in the arts and machine learning. There are two versions of this course – the self-paced course is offered year-round and involves instructor grading of the pitch. The live course is offered a couple of times during the year during the spring and summer.

In the live course, students will work closely in teams of 3-4 to prepare a pitch for a mock AI+art startup that they will present on the final day of the camp.

This one-week camp is focused on learning complex AI visual art theory and working with existing AI art tools. As such, students will not be expected to code in this camp. If you are looking for a mathematically and coding-intensive AI camp, please check out MehtA+ AI/Machine Learning Bootcamp.

Daily Schedule

This is an asynchronous camp so students will watch the lectures on their own time and then work on group projects with their peers and instructors during class time.

In order to provide students with some flexibility over their spring break and vacation plans, students will be assigned ~1 hr of course work per week that they should be completing outside of camp meeting hours.

Course work will be made available to students prior to the camp start date so students can get a head start, if needed. Instructors will be responding to any questions about course work over Slack.

During camp hours, students will be collaborating with their peers on group projects. On the last day of camp, students will be presenting their AI+Visual Arts startup pitches to judges.

Syllabus

Sure, you may have heard about Leonardo da Vinci, Pablo Picasso, Annie Leibovitz, Steven Spielberg. But, have you heard about DALL-E 3?
