Definition

The imaginary axis in the complex plane roughly corresponds to the y-axis on the Cartesian plane. It is perpendicular to the real axis and intersects at 0. Each unit has a length of 1 and the numbers on this line are $_{\dots}-2i,-i,0,i,2i_{\dots}$
