A moderator on the Art of Problem Solving website is a non-administrator user who has powers for a particular forum which non-moderators don't.
The short form for moderator is mod.
When a user is a moderator, their username shows up in green.
Powers
- Lock topics in their forum
- Move topics to other forums
- Delete topics
- Edit other users posts
- Invite users to the forum (If the forum is private)
Moderators vs. Administrators
Administrators are more powerful in the Art of Problem Solving than moderators. Moderators answer to Administrators, and not vice versa. Administrators can edit who is a moderator or administrator, but moderators cannot.
