A taxi ride costs 0.25 per mile traveled. How much does a 5-mile taxi ride cost?
Solution
There are five miles needed to traveled, and there is $1.50 needed to be paid in addition to .25 dollars per mile. So, .25*5 + 1.50= 1.25+1.50= 2.75
