− | Now there's a "You have new messages" thing at the top the main page (actually, any page), but I've read my messages already... --[[User:I like pie|I_like_pie]] 21:43, 2 November 2006 (EST)

− | The underscores in your username is the problem with being able to see your contributions. Mr. Rusczyk's looking into it. The program for the wiki wasn't intended to have usernames with underscores but we wanted to make the wiki compatible for users from AoPS to just log in with their AoPS sn. So the wiki software has to be hacked to work with underscores in names correctly... --[[User:Joml88|Joe]] 12:43, 7 November 2006 (EST)

− | Oh, I didn't think it was that complicated. If it's too much of a problem, I don't mind, I was just wondering. --[[User:I like pie|I_like_pie]] 19:20, 7 November 2006 (EST)

− | Hi, about the centering issue, you might want to see [http://www.artofproblemsolving.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?p=1078446#1078446 here]. <font style="font-family:Georgia,sans-serif">[[User:Azjps|Azjps]] ([[User talk:Azjps|<font color="green">talk</font>]])</font> 20:48, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

− | Cmath tags get automatically converted to double dollar signs, which don't work. :( --[[User:I like pie|I like pie]] 23:48, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

− | :Hmm, according to Valentin the double dollar signs do work, except for old browsers like IE6 (which I use, so the double dollars don't work on my browser). What browser do you use? <font style="font-family:Georgia,sans-serif">[[User:Azjps|Azjps]] ([[User talk:Azjps|<font color="green">talk</font>]])</font> 20:50, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

− | ::Firefox 2.0.0.13. I'm pretty sure it's not the browser because it works just fine on the forums. Example:

− |
| |
− | <cmath>\frac{1}{3}+\frac{1}{9}+\frac{1}{27}+\ldots+\frac{1}{3^n}=\frac{1}{2}</cmath>

− | ::That's with double dollar signs. :( --[[User:I like pie|I like pie]] 01:55, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

− | :::Unfortunately, I think the coding behind the cmath in the wiki and on the forums is slightly different. It would be nice if someone else could jump into this discussion and confirm whether or not this is a browser-related issue; if not, then we should ask Valentin to fix it. <font style="font-family:Georgia,sans-serif">[[User:Azjps|Azjps]] ([[User talk:Azjps|<font color="green">talk</font>]])</font> 20:01, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

− | :::: I'm not sure exactly what this discussion is about, but if it helps any, the equation I like pie has written is properly formatted but not centered on my Firefox 1.0.7. --[[User:JBL|JBL]] 21:25, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

| |
− | :::::That's exactly what the problem is. That equation is supposed to be centered because it's between double dollar signs, but it isn't. The discussion started with me using center tags to center LaTeX since neither the double dollar signs nor cmath tags work. --[[User:I like pie|I like pie]] 22:52, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
