For multiplication in latex, use \cdot instead of *. Nice work you've been doing. --JBL 19:38, 12 February 2007 (EST)
Nope, it's me -- I counted the case where all three are divisible by 125 4 times instead of 1. I'm fixing now.--JBL 20:19, 15 February 2007 (EST)
Don't bother using a delete template, just delete it unless you think it'd be controversial. It's not like it can't be undone if we want.--solafidefarms 14:51, 8 March 2007 (EST)
- Delete as in blank? Only sysops have deletion powers. (I guess I'm too into organization) Azjps (talk) 15:35, 8 March 2007 (EST)
Hi, the boxes are very nice. However, it really is excessive to have a category for each contest, don't you think? If you want a problem from the AIME for a certain year, you go to the page 1984 AIME Problems/Problem 2 or something—it's already pretty well organized that way. The category "Math Contest Problems" gets you to any contest's directory of problems on the wiki. If you want problems from a certain subject area, you use categories like Olympiad Geometry Problems, Intermediate Number Theory Problems, Introductory Algebra Problems. —Boy Soprano II 14:30, 3 April 2007 (EDT)
Hmmm... I can't view the source for that page. Why is it messed up?
Creating redirects
When you create a redirect from a blank article (e.g. internally tangent) to an article to which it is vaguely related (e.g. tangent line), you actually do a disservice: anyone who comes across the link to "internally tangent" won't realize that there actually is no article there, and anyone who clicks on the link will be sent to a place they don't really want to be. If you aren't going to write a stub, just leave it empty. --JBL 18:22, 28 April 2007 (EDT)
- Good point, though I guess its not as bad as calling a dodecahedron a 12-sided polygon. (I’ll stick to the USAMO as my excuse). I was thinking more of redirecting the variations of tangent to a page like tangent (geometry), and when I saw the tangent disambiguation page I figured I would redirect it to tangent line and someday move that article to tangent (geometry). By the way, is there anything better we can put for contradiction outside of proof by contradiction? Azjps (talk) 15:15, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
Template
You copied it from wikipedia? Meh, still pretty nice find. But I thought we were not allowed to copy from GNU sites, as AoPS doesn't agree to that license. Unless it's from MediaWiki originally? Temperal 20:43, 17 September 2007 (EDT)
- Okay, that's all settled then. About the talk page: That's rather strange. What browser? Temperal 16:21, 18 September 2007 (EDT)
AIME resources
Uh, I sort of lost the link to the AoPS AIME resources not on the Wiki. Could you tell me what it is? Temperalxy 21:46, 7 October 2007 (EDT)

Could you work on that for me? I don't know much about integrals other than some basic rules and the Residue Theorem. Thanks! Temperalxy 11:47, 13 October 2007 (EDT)
- Actually, never mind. I found a textbook that I'll use as a reference. Thanks anyways! Temperalxy 16:15, 13 October 2007 (EDT)
WikiProject Mathematics Competitions
I created this WikiProject, and I thought members of AoPS would be interested. Plus, you know a lot about the mechanics of wikis, so I thought I'd ask you to join. Temperalxy 15:15, 20 October 2007 (EDT)

Re:Complex number category
Well, if we could get that specific, we would have such obscure categories like Intermediate Group Theory Problems, Olympiad Graph Theory Problems, etc.
Everything would get quite cluttered. I think it's best to keep to the basic cover-all categories. Temperalxy 15:49, 1 December 2007 (EST)
